Earlier this month a controversial photo (above) of Gerard Pique and Zlatan Ibrahamovic – appearing to show the two in an intimate clinch – surfaced on the interweb causing numerous internet conspiracy theorists and sycophants to question if this was photographic proof of football’s first gay couple.
It’s amazing what people can deduce from a simple photograph isn’t it? For all we know Ibrahamovic – who is married – could merely have had something in his eye…
In fact Crab Football didn’t consider the incident seriously until a reporter for El Mundo stopped the languid Swedish forward and asked about the rumour – to which he generously replied:-
“Come by my house with your sister and see if I’m gay.” (video here)
Crab Football asked the man on the street for their reactions:-
Mickey, 24 – “It doesn’t matter a jot if they’re gay or not. But they are. Look at the body language. On a scale from 1 to 10 – 1 being Sir Ian McKellan and 10 being Sir Elton John, I’d say John Barrowman gay.”
Sarah, 19 – “Ibrahamovic makes me feel gay. Is that the answer?”
Benson, 24 – “Elton John was married to a woman once. FACT.”

I really would have no prob with Pique or Ibra being LGBT – I think this pic was just Pique offering Ibra support as the Swede has had a rough time in his first year at Barca. Nothing more, despite the press’s prurient interest.

It doesn’t matter if they’re gay or not – but if they are I want to know how they’re a couple! Ibrahamovic doesn’t have that good a personality surely?

Elliot that’s amazing. How’d you deduce that from that one tender look? Personally I think there is a homo-erotic feel to the whole piece. Behold how bashfully withdrawn Ibrahamovic is, the tease! It’s like his body is whispering ‘chase me chase me..’

As I don’t speak Spanish or whatever that crazy jibberish was, what is the video actually about and what is the woman saying? Or could it be that Crab Football has documented REAl events outside of the PL?!?

I would do the same thing if i were instead of Pique, to steal the car keys from his hands, thats an awesome car he’s got though, no wonder they make an interesting match when they (play) together
